This 20L bag packs down to the size of a tennis ball taking almost no room in your luggage. It is a well made bag from the reputable company Sea to Summit that we highly recommend packing for your next trip. Avoid having to empty your carry on or duffle bag for a day trip and instead pack your essentials into this bag.

Osprey Aether
Osprey is our tried and true brand for hiking backpacks. Osprey packs are made with high quality materials and backed by a lifetime warranty that is easy to activate. For backpacking we like the Aether 60L for men and Ariel 55 for women. We've found ~60L is the most versatile size fit from long weekends to thru hikes. We recommend being properly fitted for your pack at your local REI.

Sea to Summit Toiletry Bag
This lightweight well-made toiletry bag from Sea to Summit is what we use to help keep our travel bag organized. It's simple and offered in two sizes with 2 internal mesh pockets and 1 external zipper pocket. Although made of water-resistant material it is not waterproof, so we recommend placing any questionable containers in Ziplocs as a precaution.

Purse/Wallet
When selecting a purse for traveling you'll want to keep a few features in mind to best prevent pickpockets and stay safe. Bags should be small to not attract attention or get in the way in crowded areas. Be sure all pockets are secured with zippers versus buttons, Velcro, or flaps. Cross body bags with a cross strap or fanny packs are more secure than other bags. With wallets, select something small enough to comfortably sit in your front pockets versus your back pocket.
Found on:
Moment Fanny Sling
It's hard to beat the convenience and safety of a fanny pack while traveling especially in cash heavy destinations such as South and Central America. The Fanny Sling by Moment can be used as a fanny pack or sling whichever is most comfortable for you. This brand does an excellent job keeping organizational needs in mind as well as using quality construction and materials. We recommend the 2L version as it is much more versatile and useful than the 1L.

Marchway Drybag
From Marchway we have a well-made dry bag available in various sizes and colors. Rain covers don't always keep your contents out of the rain, so it's worth considering putting your clothing and other key items in a dry bag. This is especially an important consideration when backpacking in colder weather.

BOS Odor Bags
It took a lot of product testing to finally find BOS bags, but they are an amazing affordable product. Available in various sizes, we recommend these bags on all our trips to keep dirty laundry smells contained. We have tested them to the limit on restricted backpacking trips where we had to pack out everything including human waste.
